Lucy Saggers’ photographic works explore and document the richness of every day life in a traditional, rural North Yorkshire village. Lucy conveys a narrative of beauty and value in the daily goings on, as well as the haphazard shapes and textures of the community she inhabits. Treasuring its people, their connections with her, as well as with each other and with the land; Lucy is impelled to listen, observe and record through the lens of a camera, fragments of contemporary rural stories.
